Newly married and moving into their first home in Montclair, NJ, this couple needed our help to find their style and infuse it into their main level space.
Colorful but classic, we utilized an understated red white and blue palette with coppery golds and warm wood tones. There are 3 variations of blue on the walls and ceiling that tie into the ombre of the chandelier! The chandelier, of course, was the star of the show, visible from every angle, but taking on new life depending on your vantage point.
The window seat was it’s own stand out moment! Unexpected pattern play and whimsical tassel trim feel elevated and curated. Silvery blue walls and ceilings lead to a high impact sapphire wall that draws you right in, and adds a bit of romance when dimly lit.
Comfortable seating abounds even in this limited space. The swivel chairs do their duty, allowing gatherers to turn toward the window seat and front yard, towards the sofa, or towards the television, as needed.
