This stunning Scarsdale, NJ house was purchased by an City family transitioning to the suburbs. It was full of potential, but a virtual blank box before we joined forces to jazz it up! Inspired by elegant New York City lounges, we worked with deep blues and greens in contemporary art and rich fabrics to bring in the glam.
Rather than re-painting every wall, we strategically selecting the most impactful areas to add color and pattern, and focused on incorporating the existing tones into the new additions. A favorite moment is the high angled wall of soft botanical print blue in the breakfast nook.
Angular and organic shapes in gold and brass scatter about to amp up the glamour and pay homage to the heritage of the homeowners.
Moving upstairs there is a shift to deeper, bolder installations of black and white, and an expanded color palette incorporating deep green and turquoise touches.
